CNC Machinist / Apprentice, $13-$15/hr (based upon experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform machine setup, operation, inspection and reporting on CNC and traditional equipment
Operate sophisticated machine tools to produce high-quality, high-precision parts in volume
Inspect parts-in-process against drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality output
Calculate and measure dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments for reporting
Participate in problem-solving in order to help fulfill production orders on a timely basis

Must-Have Attributes:

Computer-usage and math proficiency, with solid problem-solving skills
Strong attention to details, esp. With Mechanical attributes and Technical characteristics
Strong work ethic - Get the right things done, correctly and on-time
Positive team-first attitude, including willingness to work O/T as needed
Willingness to learn, and to both receive and offer suggestions for improvement
Capability to move, load and handle parts weighing up to 75 lbs., with stamina
Ability to understand complex instructions
HS diploma or GED (completed)

Nice-to-Have Attributes (a big, big Plus):

Prior success in Machine Shops or other Manufacturing of precision parts
Completion of (or substantial progress towards) Level 1 Machining (NIMS) certification
Previous experience working with Mazak CNC machines
College education or completion of vocational/technical school training
