Our client, a rapidly growing construction services firm and commercial property landlord, seeks a Controller to help guide and boost the capabilities of its small office team during its next growth phase.
Report to the President on issues and policies for accounting, finances, payroll, taxes and cash flow
Guide and oversee the small finance-and-accounting team
Oversee and review QuickBooks entries, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, payroll, A/R and A/P
Perform QuickBooks-based reporting for KPI monitoring and financial performance evaluations
Design and assess financial reports to offer insight into performance and growth opportunities
Communicate ways to improve efficiency, cut costs and enable profitable growth
Perform weekly and monthly reviews of the finance and administrative team's efforts
Provide analysis of the projects and services of the general contracting company
Identify high-probability targets for cost improvements
Evaluate whether business investments and processes are effective
Help selectively recruit and hire new team members as growth emerges
Applicants need to be well-versed in QuickBooks and proficient in Microsoft Office, and enjoy getting into accounting details and performing training and mentoring.
Proven experience in various duties and levels of accounting.
CPA (active or inactive) is a plus but NOT a strict requirement.
