The Full-Charge Bookkeeper of this manufacturing and distribution client is in charge of the organization's bookkeeping and accounting duties. You take responsibility for more than just keeping ledgers by being in charge of **every** aspect of the company's financial processes. As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the owner of the company, support the general manager with timely information, and often work with the outside CPA firm to prepare tax returns and filings.


OVERALL DUTIES
--Make journal entries and record financial transactions
--Be in charge of accounts receivable, payable, payroll and tax deposits
--Administer 401(k) and other employee benefits
--Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
--Run trial balances
--Manage bank reconciliations, invoicing, payroll processing, and bill payments
--Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filing system
--Monitor cash levels
--Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial statements and other financial analysis
--Analyze information and create ad hoc reports to support the owners, general manager, and the CPA

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
--Prior accounting / full-charge bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred)
--Solid understanding of GAAP accounting and double-entry bookkeeping (though CPA is NOT required) as well as good business understanding
--Understand charts of accounts, journal entries, and proper procedures for taking a trial balance
--Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; QuickBooks familiarity is a plus
--Good written and verbal communication skills
--Strong attention to detail
--Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work
--Organization and the ability to multitask
--Reliability, dependability, personal maturity and team-focused attitude (willing to help where needed)
--Self-starter; able to work with supervising manager who is located remotely / offsite
--Confidentiality and discretion
--Flexibility to adjust to new tasks
--Strong interpersonal skills to interact with others positively
--HS diploma or GED; major plus would be certification or college degree in business
