Our client, a rapidly growing construction services firm and commercial property landlord, seeks a Part-Time Controller to help guide and boost the capabilities of its small office team during its next growth phase.
Guide and oversee the finance-and-accounting team, including their QuickBooks entries, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports, payroll, and A/R and A/P activities
Perform QuickBooks-based monthly reporting for KPI monitoring and financial performance evaluations
Design and assess financial reports to offer managerial and operational insight into the organization's performance and growth opportunities
Report to the President/Owner on budget issues and policies related to finances, payroll, taxes, and overall financial health
Communicate ways to improve efficiency, cut costs and enable profitable growth
Applicants need to be well-versed in QuickBooks (and proficient in Microsoft Office) and enjoy getting into accounting details and performing training and mentoring. This individual will be performing weekly and monthly reviews of the team's efforts, and will also be tasked with providing analysis of the projects and services of the general contracting company, identifying high-probability targets for cost improvements, and evaluating whether business investments and processes are effective.
